ข้อมูลจากกรมควบคุมโรค (Department of Disease Control-DDC) ระบุว่า ปี 2565 คนไทยเสียชีวิตจากโรคหัวใจและหลอดเลือดกว่า 70,000 ราย หรือเฉลี่ยชั่วโมงละ 8 คน และคาดว่าในปี 2568 จำนวนผู้ป่วยจะพุ่งแตะ 1.7 ล้านคน โดยมี คนไทยกว่า 1 ใน 4 อยู่ในภาวะอ้วน ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยเสี่ยงสำคัญที่สุดที่ผลักให้โรคหัวใจมาเร็วขึ้นกว่าที่คิด และจำนวนผู้ป่วยยังมีแนวโน้ม เพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่อง การตรวจสุขภาพประจำปีจึงเปรียบเสมือน ระบบเตือนภัยล่วงหน้า (Early Warning) ที่ช่วยให้พบความผิดปกติและจัดการความเสี่ยงได้ตั้งแต่ยังไม่แสดงอาการ

 

โดยข้อมูลอ้างอิงจากโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์สภากาชาดไทยระบุว่าโปรแกรมตรวจสุขภาพ มาตรฐานประกอบด้วยการประเมินความเสี่ยงโรคเรื้อรังสำคัญ เช่น การตรวจระดับน้ำตาล ไขมัน การทำงานของตับและไต ความสมบูรณ์ของเม็ดเลือด เอกซเรย์ปอด และการตรวจคลื่นไฟฟ้าหัวใจ ซึ่งเป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานที่ช่วยให้แพทย์สามารถวิเคราะห์ความเสี่ยง และให้คำแนะนำเฉพาะบุคคลได้อย่างเหมาะสมก่อนที่ความผิดปกติเล็กน้อยจะลุกลามเป็นภาวะรุนแรงในอนาคต

 As heart disease and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as chronic kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, and high cholesterol remain "silent killers" that develop gradually without showing symptoms in early stages, regular health check-ups play a crucial role in detecting abnormal findings early particularly as Thailand enters an aging era and working-age individuals encounter growing risk factors from prolonged sitting, consuming strongly flavored foods and beverages, lack of exercise, and stress from fast-paced lifestyles.

Data from the Department of Disease Control (DDC) showed that in 2022, more than 70,000 Thais died from heart disease and cardiovascular diseases an average of 8 people every hour.
